DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball team welcomes visiting Milwaukee to the Nutter Center for a Saturday night matchup in the Horizon League, with both teams coming off Thursday losses. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and fans can follow the action several ways – via live stats, by watching on ESPN+ or by tuning in to the new home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Justin Kinner will have all the action on the both the ESPN and radio feeds.
Fans can tune into 101.5 HANK FM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry 101.5 HANK FM. Just search “101.5 HANK FM” on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.
**Wright State has launched the Wright State Raiders app, allowing fans to stay up to date on Raider Basketball and all other sports. Fans are encouraged to use the Wright State Raiders app as the primary method for managing their digital tickets, which are required for entry to all WSU basketball events. Tickets for the 2023-24 basketball seasons are now uploaded and accessible on all purchaser accounts. Wright State’s second half comeback push fell just short on Thursday night as the Raiders fell 88-81 to visiting Green Bay in Horizon League action. Brandon Noel tallied his fifth double-double of the season, and second in the last three contests, with a 17-point, 12-rebound effort, adding three assists, a steal and a block. Trey Calvin notched a team-high 19 points as five Raiders finished with double figures scoring in the loss. Drey Carter chipped in 11 points off the bench for the third double figure night of his career, while AJ Braun and Alex Huibregtse both finished with 10 points.
NATIONALLY SPEAKING. . .
Wright State currently leads the nation with its 53.0 percent overall season shooting percentage. The Raiders’ Effective FG Percentage (58.2 percent) is No. 5 and the Scoring Offense (84.7) is No. 15. Individually, Trey Calvin is No. 12 nationally with 133 Field Goals made, while No. 47 nationally with 19.3 points per game scoring average. He is No. 14 with his 91.8 percent Free Throw Percentage (45-of-49). Calvin’s 347 total points are No. 31, while Tanner Holden (322 total points) is No. 61. Holden’s 121 Field Goals made is No. 36 nationally.
MILWAUKEE MATCHUP
Wright State and Milwaukee have met 72 times, with the Raiders holding a 38-34 lead over Milwaukee in the series, including wins in nine of the last 13 meetings. The first meeting came back on Jan. 17, 1977 in Milwaukee, a 75-66 Panther win. The first Wright State home game was the following year – a 71-69 Raider win on Feb. 13, 1978.

– Milwaukee is currently 9-9 overall on the season and 4-3 in Horizon League play. The Panthers are 2-6 on the road this season, including a 1-3 mark in road Horizon League contests (losses at Green Bay, Oakland, Northern Kentucky / win at Detroit Mercy).
– The Panther offense has averaged 84.7 points over the last seven games, going 5-2, while reaching 90 points twice in the stretch and shooting 46.1 percent from the floor.

Brandon Noel has five double-doubles this season, including four against Horizon League opponents, and has double digit scoring outputs in six of the last seven games with 10-plus points in 13 of the last 15 games overall. Noel finished with 11 double-doubles a season ago, including nine double-doubles after the calendar flipped to January.
