BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES
- The Blue Jackets improved to 3-1-0 in their last four games following tonight’s 5-2 victory over Boston. The club has also won its last two home contests.
- CBJ have now posted points in 11 of the last 16 meetings in the series vs. Boston dating back to Dec. 27, 2016 (7-5-4).
- Columbus has recorded points in seven of the last nine home games in the series dating back to Dec. 27, 2016 (5-2-2).
- The winning team has scored four-plus goals in 14 of the past 19 contests in the series.
- The Blue Jackets killed off both Bruins’ power play opportunities tonight. They have now killed off 37-of-40 of Boston’s power play opportunities over the past 14 contests at Nationwide Arena (92.5 pct.).
- Columbus has killed off all ten opponent power play chances over the last four contests and has only allowed a power play goal in just two of the past 16 games (Nov. 16 vs. ARI) and (Nov. 19 vs. PHI), killing off 38-of-40 opponent power play chances (95.0 pct.). The club leads the League in penalty kill percentage since Oct. 20, killing off 50-of-54 opponent power play opportunities over the past 20 games (92.6 pct.)
- Tonight marked the first time that four different Russian-born players scored for a team in a single game in NHL history (RW Yegor Chinakhov, RW Kirill Marchenko, D Ivan Provorov and LW Dmitri Voronkov). It had happened with three players on one team several times before with the most recent occurrence recorded by St. Louis in a 5-2 victory over CBJ on Oct. 15, 2022.
- The club has scored the first goal of the game in four-straight contests and seven of the past nine.
- The Blue Jackets blocked 11 shots tonight and have been credited with 230 blocked shots over the past 12 contests and 439 in 23 games this season.
- CBJ blueliners posted 1-1-2 tonight and have now combined for 5-14-19 over the past seven contests and 10-46-56 in 23 games this season.
- CBJ rookies recorded 1-1-2 tonight and have posted 9-15-24 in 23 games this season.

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES
- C Boone Jenner registered his first multi-assist and team-leading fourth multi-point effort of the campaign with two assists, giving him 4-3-7 in the past six games (overall, 11-5-16 in 23 GP). It marks the 72nd multi-point game of his career, which is the third most in franchise history behind Rick Nash (137) and Cam Atkinson (81).
- RW Kirill Marchenko scored a goal in his second consecutive game and for the third time in his past four outings (3-1-4). He now has 7-3-10 in the last 14 contests and 7-6-13 in 21 appearances this season.
- LW Dmitri Voronkov scored a goal and now has points in 10 of his first 17 NHL games (4-6-10). He has recorded eight of his points since Nov. 1 (3-5-8), which is the third most among all rookies over that span, trailing Chicago’s Connor Bedard (6-5-11 in 10 GP) and Calgary’s Connor Zary (3-6-9 in 11 GP).
- RW Yegor Chinakhov notched his first multi-point effort of the campaign and seventh of his career after posting his second career game-winning goal (previously Jan. 30, 2022 at MTL) and one assist (overall, 2-2-4 in 12 GP).
- D Ivan Provorov scored a goal to give him 2-3-5 in his past seven contests (2-12-14 in 23 GP).
- C Cole Sillinger tallied his eighth assist of the campaign and now has 1-3-4 in his past six outings (overall, 1-8-9 in 23 GP).
- D David Jiricek recorded the first assist on Provorov’s second period goal to give him 1-3-4 in 18 games this season.
- RW Justin Danforth scored his sixth goal of the season and has now collected 3-2-5 in his last nine games (overall, 6-4-10 in 23 GP).
- LW Patrik Laine tallied the second assist on Marchenko’s third period goal and now has 3-2-5 in 13 games this season. He improved to 3-9-12 in 14 career games against Boston, including 2-8-10 with three multi-point efforts in his last nine contests vs. the club.
- C Sean Kuraly recorded his fourth assist of the season, giving him 3-4-7 in the past 12 outings (overall, 5-4-9 in 23 GP).
