FAIRFAX, Va. – For the second time this season and fourth time in his career, George Mason University men’s basketball senior Josh Oduro has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week.
Oduro averaged 22.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in two wins for George Mason this past week. He also shot 63.3 percent from the floor (19-30). He led the Patriots with a game-high 25 points (10-16 FG) to go with seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks in Saturday’s win over La Salle.
On Wednesday at GW, Oduro posted his A-10-leading 11th double-double of the season with team highs in points (19), rebounds (12) and steals (3) to go along with three assists. He notched six points during Mason’s critical run with under six minutes to play that sealed the win for the Patriots.
This season in A-10 league play, Oduro leads the conference in rebounding (9.7 rpg), is fourth in scoring (18.3 ppg) and fifth in field goal percentage (.598). He ranks first in the A-10 in offensive rebounds/contest (3.5). He has scored 10+ points in all 15 league contests and has tallied 20+ points in eight games overall.
He previously was named the A-10 Player of the Week this season on January 16.
