« LW Patrik Laine notched his second multi-goal and third multi-point game of the season with two goals. He has recorded points in two consecutive games (2-1-3) and 4-1-5 in his last four appearances, including multiple goals in two of those contests. He now has 3-6-9 in 11 career meetings vs. Buffalo and points in four of his past five home games (2-4-6).

- The Blue Jackets fell for a third consecutive game and to 5-6-2 in their last 12 contests following tonight’s loss to the Sabres. The club is also now 4-5-1 in the last 10 games at Nationwide Arena.
