« LW Johnny Gaudreau recorded his team-leading fifth multi-point and third multi-assist game of the season with 0-2-2 to give him 1-7-8 in the last six outings and 2-9-11 in the past eight contests (overall 7-13-20 in 20 GP). He improved to 4-10-14 in 13 career game against the Islanders, including four multi-point outings in the last seven games (3-7-10) and points in nine of the last 10 contests vs. the club (3-10-13).
BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES
- The Blue Jackets fell for a second consecutive game with tonight’s loss to the Islanders and are now 4-3-1 in the last eight games. The club is also now 4-3-0 in the last seven games at Nationwide Arena.
- Columbus moved to 9-10-2 vs. the Islanders since the start of 2016-17 but New York has won the last five outings (CBJ; 0-4-1).
