Talented Ohio State CB Sevyn Banks after four years with the Buckeyes.
“Due to this injury, I will be withdrawing from the 2022 NFL Draft. At this time, I am very grateful my rehab is going great,” Banks wrote on Twitter. “I will be entering the NCAA transfer portal leaving my options open to wherever God leads me to dominate into a greater chapter of my college career. Whether it’s here at The Ohio State or going beyond.”
Banks totaled 43 tackles, one interception and 10 pass deflections during his OSU career.
Banks saw his playing time diminish in 2021 due to the emergence in the defensive backfield of Denzel Burke, Cameron Brown, Ronnie Hickman, Bryson Shaw and Latham Ransom.
Banks also said he was withdrawing from the 2022 NFL Draft due to an unknown injury that requires rehabbing.
The 2021 season did not start well for Banks as he missed the first two games against Minnesota and Oregon with a knee injury. And that same injury sidelined him late in the season missing the Purdue, Michigan State, Michigan and the Rose Bowl game against Utah.
