- Chris Olave’s two first-quarter touchdown receptions were the 34th and 35th of his career, moving him past David Boston (1996-98) into first all-time in career touchdown receptions in Ohio State football history.
- With seven receptions against Michigan State, Chris Olave now has 169 for his career, moving him into third in Ohio State history.
- Garrett Wilson’s 126 yards vs. Michigan State pushed him over the 2,000 career yards mark. He is now at 2,094.
- CJ Stroud’s 432 passing yards give him 3,468 for the year, the second highest single-season passing yard total in Ohio State history. Dwayne Haskins’ set the mark with 4,831 yards in 2018.
- Stroud completed 17 passes in a row, setting the program record for consecutive completions.
- With 432 passing yards, Stroud recorded over 400 passing yards for the third time this season. He has 300 or more yards in seven games, including each of the last four.
- Stroud has now thrown at least five touchdowns in four of his 10 career starts.
- With six passing touchdowns, all coming in the first half, Stroud tied the Ohio State single game record.
- Julian Fleming’s second-quarter touchdown reception from four yards out was the first of his career.
- Ohio State jumped out to a 49-0 halftime lead, which is the most first half points against a Big Ten opponent in the last 15 years, breaking the previous record of 45 points set last week against Purdue.
- The Buckeyes had 500 yards in the first half, the first time with more than 400 yards in a half since Sept. 22, 2018 vs. Tulane.
- Ohio State ended the game with 655 yards of total offense, the most this season and the fourth time this year (second in a row) with 600 or more.
- Ohio State’s 56 points against Michigan State marked the 10th time in program history the Buckeyes scored 50 or more points against a ranked opponent.
- Haskell Garrett increased his team lead in sacks with one against the Spartans and now has 5.5 on the year.
- Olave (140), Garrett Wilson (126) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (105) each totaled over 100 receiving yards against Michigan State, the second time in school history three receivers each totaled more than 100 in the same game. The first such instance was earlier this season against Oregon with the same three receivers.
- Noah Ruggles’ nation-best streak of 18 consecutive made field goals was snapped with a missed field goal in the third quarter. He is now 16 for 17 as a Buckeye.
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba now has 1,132 receiving yards on the year, catapulting him into third place all-time for single season receiving yards.
- Tommy Eichenberg’s seven tackles tied for the team lead and set a career high for the second-consecutive week.
- Kourt Williams had a career-high seven tackles, tying for the team lead in the game, as well as a team-high five solo tackles against Michigan State.
- TE/FB Mitch Rossi started for the second consecutive week, the first two starts of his career.
