NHL News: Hurricanes’ Jackson Blake Fined for Slashing

NEW YORK (Oct. 17, 2025) – Carolina Hurricanes forward Jackson Blake has been fined $2,358.94, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jacob Trouba during NHL Game No. 70 in Anaheim on Thursday, Oct. 16, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

 

The incident occurred at 9:25 of the third period. Blake was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.

 

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
