The Oregon Beavers, now 0-7 after being blown out on Saturday by Wake Forest, 39-14. It seemed like they only started to play in the 4th quarter when they put up those 14 points.
With the once proud program being in a crisis, looking unorganized, the school’s adminstration fired second-year head football coach Trent Bray on Sunday morning, according to reports all over the country.
What is tough here is that the 42-year-old Bray starred at linebacker for the Beavers from 2002 to 2005 and was a fan favorite.
After being hired in November 2023 following the sudden departure of Jonathan Smith to Michigan State, the former defensive coordinator for the Beavers, lost 13 of his final 14 games dating back to the 2024 season. Bray finishes his tenure as OSU head coach with an overall record of 5-14.
According to his Oregon State contract, Bray will be owed just over $4 million.
