COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew and Historic Crew Stadium are hosting the 2025 Columbus City League Championships, presented by OhioHealth, on Tuesday, October 7. The Club is featuring two matches – West vs. Whetstone (girls championship, 5:30 p.m.); and Whetstone vs. West (boys championship, 7:30 p.m.) – as part of its mission to support the advancement of youth soccer and education in Central Ohio, including through its Stay in the Game! Attendance Network partnership with Columbus City Schools.
Tickets to the boys and girls championship matches are currently available for $6.
The Black & Gold have hosted the annual Columbus City Schools competition since 2011, with Tuesday’s contests marking the 12th time overall that the Crew have facilitated the festivities. The Columbus City League Championships were not held in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 protocols.

During the Columbus City League Championships, the Crew provide venue amenities such as the facility, field and other resources at no cost to the district or schools as part of their partnership.
Following the Columbus City League Championship games, the Columbus Crew and OhioHealth will recognize an MVP from the boys’ and girls’ matches, highlighted by a scholarship for higher education.
The Stay in the Game! Attendance Network’s mission is focused on promoting school attendance and student engagement with its partner districts in the state. As of July 1, SITG! has partnered with Columbus-based Battelle to serve as its fiscal agent and point of contact, coordinating and facilitating activities and initiatives with partner school district sports teams. SITG! has grown from 13 districts at its start during the 2019-2020 school year to now 161 districts and more than 494,000 students across Ohio for the 2024-2025 academic year.
