Ohio State Men’s Tennis News: Kim Named Big Ten Player of the Week

Junior finished as runner up at ITA All-American Championships in singles

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Aidan Kim, a junior from Milford, Michigan, was named the Big Ten Player of the Week after finishing as the runner up at the 2025 ITA All-American Championships last week in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He also qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships later this fall in Orlando, Florida.

In Tulsa, Kim earned five victories over players from Mississippi State, Baylor (2), Georgia and Texas before a loss in the finals to Jay Friend of Arizona.

The Big Ten award is the second in as many weeks for the Buckeyes. Sophomore Nikita Filin was named the Big Ten Player of the Week for his play at the All-American Championships as well. He finished win an overall record of 8-2 in singles and 5-1 in doubles at the event.

Next up, Ohio State competes at the Midwest Regionals in Chicago, Oct. 16-20.
