Perich recorded 11 tackles and one sack and also totaled 96 all-purpose yards against Rutgers

University of Minnesota defensive back Koi Perich was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll after his standout performance against Rutgers.

The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is presented annually to the most versatile player in major college football.

Perich shined on defense and special teams in Minnesota’s 31-28 win against Rutgers. He recorded 11 tackles and one sack and also totaled 96 all-purpose yards (83 kick return and 13 punt return).

Perich has played offense, defense and special teams this season. On offense, he has totaled three catches for 55 yards. On defense, he has 21 tackles (eight solo), two tackles for loss and one sack. Perich has returned five kickoffs this year for 128 yards and seven punts for 64 yards.
