  • Ohio State has extended its nation’s-leading winning streak to seven consecutive games with its win over Ohio University Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
  • Jeremiah Smith has become the fastest Ohio State receiver to reach 1,500 receiving yards. He topped 1,500 yards today in this, his 19th game as a Buckeye. The previous best was 20 games by Jaxon Smith-Njigba from 2020-22. Smith now has 1,630 career receiving yards.

  • Ryan Day‘s head coaching record is now 73-10 for a nation’s best winning percentage of .880.

  • Ohio State is now 49-0-1 against other Ohio universities in Ohio Stadium.

  • The first touchdown of the game was a 16-yard strike from Julian Sayin to tight end Max Clare in the second quarter. The touchdown reception was Klare’s first as a Buckeye.

  • The Ohio State defense has not allowed a touchdown in the first half through three games this season.

  • Bo Jackson broke off a 64-yard rush on the first offensive-play of the second half. The run is the longest of his career, surpassing his 51-yard rush against Grambling.

  • Jackson finished the game with 109 yards on nine carries. That marked his second consecutive game with over 100 yards on less than 10 carries.

  • Jermiah Smith registered his 18th career receiving touchdown on a 47-yard strike from Julian Sayin in the third quarter.

  • Smith’s nine receptions tied a career-high, and his 153 receiving yards are the second most in a single game of his career, behind only his 187-yards against Oregon in the 2025 Rose Bowl.

  • Julian Sayin threw a 57-yard touchdown pass to Carnell Tate in the fourth quarter, the longest reception of Tate’s career.

  • Ohio State had zero punts in this game, the first occurrence since the 2021 season against Maryland.

  • Linebacker Arvell Reese had a career-high seven tackles and also broke up the first two passes of his career.

  • Defensive tackle Kayden McDonald recorded his first career sack.
