ADA — Senior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Aug. 25-31.
This is her second time receiving the honor in her career.
The latest recognition comes after winning Medalist honors with a career-low 3-under par 69 to lead ONU to a victory at the Joe Campoli Memorial Tournament on Monday at Colonial Golfers Club.
She began the weekend by finishing second of 47 golfers at the ONU Kick Off Classic on Sunday. She finished with a 4-over par 76 on the par-72, 6173-yard course.
Alfes has a 79.9 career average, which is the second-lowest average all-time in ONU history.
The Polar Bears return to action on Sept. 10 at the Lourdes Fall Invitational.
