ADA — Ohio Northern junior AnnaSophia Gower (Perrysburg) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Aug. 25-31.
This marks Gower’s third OAC Runner of the Week honor. She earned the accolade twice her freshman season in 2023.
The latest recognition comes after she led ONU across the finish line at the Bluffton Invite on Friday in a career-best 5k time of 18:42. Her previous best was 19:07.
Gower placed 2nd overall in the 49-woman field at the meet. The Polar Bears placed first out of three teams with 24 points.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday at the Otterbein Invitational at 10:45 a.m.
