Faith Choi was named to the CSC Academic All-American Second Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s golf senior Faith Choi has been named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced on Tuesday.

This is the first career Academic All-American honor for Choi, who maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average and graduated this spring with a degree in sport industry.

Choi was the recipient of this season’s NCAA Elite 90 Award, which is presented to the student-athlete on site at the NCAA Championship finals with the highest GPA. She was the 10th student-athlete from Ohio State to earn the award, and the first-ever Buckeye women’s golfer.

Choi was named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team for the third time in her career and earned Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors for the fourth time in her career.

During her senior season, Choi had a career-best scoring average of 72.82 and she earned seven top 20 finishes and four top 10 finishes. She was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team,
