Shane van Gisbergen will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag in Sunday’s Viva Mexico 250 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Van Gisbergen’s lap of 92.776 seconds topped the charts as weather took control and ended the qualifying session early.

Van Gisbergen claimed his first Busch Light Pole position of the season.

Mexico native and fan favorite, Daniel Suarez is 10th in the No. 99 Trackhouse Chevrolet.

Ryan Preece, Ross Chastain, Ty Gibbs and Michael McDowell rounded out the top five.

Rounding out 6-9 are Kyle Larson, Todd Gilliland, AJ Allmendinger, Joey Logano.
