MLB News: Baseball Hall of Famers, former Braves stars, softball legends scheduled to meet fans at Capital One All-Star Village

Photo Ops, Autograph Sessions and Clinics with Former Big Leaguers Included with Admission to MLB’s All-Star Fan Festival at Cobb Galleria Centre

 

Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves today announced a lineup of former players — including Baseball Hall of Famers, Negro Leagues legends, iconic Braves players and USA Softball champions — who will gather in Atlanta for a four-day celebration at Capital One All-Star Village during MLB All-Star Week. Taking place at the Cobb Galleria Centre, July 12-15, Capital One All-Star Village includes more than 50 interactive activities, giving fans opportunities to celebrate the game like never before. All-Star Village showcases dozens of interactive baseball activities and experiences throughout the more than 500,000-square-foot Cobb Galleria Centre, which is just steps from Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. Over four days, fans can receive free autographs, take photos with former players and team mascots, try out the Home Run Derby VR interactive batting cages, and participate in question-and-answer sessions and clinics led by baseball and softball legends.

Activities at All-Star Village are included with the price of admission. Attending fans can make reservations for the various meet-and-greets with the All-Star Experience Pass presented by Capital One, in the award-winning MLB Ballpark app. By utilizing the digital reservation system, fans can participate in other experiential activities without having to wait in a line for their chance to meet former stars. The current list of former players attending All-Star Village is available below, but fans are encouraged to visit AllStarGame.com and the digital Experience Pass for updated schedules leading into and throughout All-Star Week.

In addition to former Major Leaguers appearing throughout All-Star Village, a number of former softball stars, MLB Youth Ambassadors and notable names in youth baseball are again joining the league at Capital One PLAY BALL PARK to lead young people through a variety of formal and informal clinics and games on the Deer Park Diamond. PLAY BALL PARK features diamonds, batting cages, pitching tunnels and hitting exhibition attractions like Home Run Derby, where youth can try hitting balls like their favorite sluggers.

Regular admission to All-Star Village costs $35, but for a limited time, fans can purchase $10 tickets with the code PBPO. Eligible Capital One cardholders receive four complimentary tickets to Capital One All-Star Village and can get them here while supplies last. The complimentary tickets will provide eligible cardholders early access to Capital One All-Star Village each day, as well as dedicated Capital One cardholder entrances and express lanes at some of the most popular attractions. Ticketholders can easily access All-Star Village from two different locations: the main entrance of Cobb Galleria Centre or the East Lot on Galleria Drive SE. All-Star Village attendees can also enter The Battery and other All-Star Week events at Truist Park simply by traversing the nearby pedestrian bridge, remaining in the hub of Midsummer Classic festivities.
