On April 26, 2025, Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Eugenio Suárez became the 19th player in MLB history to hit 4 home runs in a single game, doing so against the Atlanta Braves pitching staff. He became the second player in MLB history, along with Carlos Delgado, who is retired, to hit four home runs in four plate appearances in a game. He was also the third player to achieve the feat in a game that his team ultimately lost. The Braves won 8-7 in 10 innings over the Diamondbacks.
Furthermore, Suarez also became the first player in MLB history to do it since former D-Backs star, J.D. Martinez did it in 2017.
The Venezuelan-born right-handed hitter now has hit 286 homers in his 12-year career.
The 33-year-old Suárez, who has also played for Tigers, Reds and Mariners in his career, hadn’t had a great start to the season. He came into the game batting .167 with six homers and 15 RBIs. And now has 10 home runs.
