BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES
- Columbus ended the 2024-25 season on a six-game winning streak, tied for the longest of the campaign (Jan. 4-16). The club won all six games in regulation to tie the franchise mark for longest regulation win streak (3rd time; Dec. 22, 2016-Jan. 3, 2017 and Jan. 11-22, 2020).
- The Jackets did not give up a power play goal in their last five games to end the regular season (10-of-10 PK).
- The Blue Jackets improved their 2024-25 season totals by 13 wins and 23 points compared to 2023-24 (27-43-12, 66 pts., .402 points pct.). It was the largest positive change in the NHL in wins and points from the past campaign. CBJ’s .143 points pct improvement from 2023-24 to 2024-25 is the third-largest gain in franchise history, trailing the .196 from 2015-16 (.463) to 2016-17 (.659) and .177 from 2011-12 (.396) to 2012-13 (.573).
- CBJ went 14-5-2 in the last 21 home games in 2024-25 with the team recording points in 22 of the past 28 home contests (18-6-4) as well as in 27 of the last 34 played at home (22-7-5).
- Columbus’ 57 points tied for the most points at home in a single season with the 2017-18 campaign. The club’s 26 wins were also tied for the second-most at home in a single season (2017-18), trailing the 28 home wins in the 2016-17 campaign.
- The club recorded 267 goals (not including SO goals) in 2024-25, a new club record for a single season after surpassing the 258 scored in the 2021-22 season. The Blue Jackets averaged 3.25 goals-for-per-game for the highest average in a single season in franchise history and ahead of the 3.15 in 2021-22.
- The Jackets scored six goals tonight for an NHL-high an franchise record 16th time of the season tonight.
- Columbus scored five goals in the second period tonight to match the franchise record for most scored in a single period (4th time, MR: 3 period, Dec. 31, 2018 vs. OTT).
- The Jackets scored 161 goals at Nationwide Arena this season, the most in a single season in franchise history (139, 2021-22). The club also set new franchise marks at home in goals-for-per-game (3.92) as well as power player percentage (25-of-94, 26.6%). The team outscored opponents 161-123 at home in 2024-25 for a +38 goal differential, the second highest mark in CBJ history (2016-17, +42).
- Tonight’s attendance was a sellout crowd of 18,874, the Blue Jackets’ 15th of the season. Columbus had beyond capacity crowds in 10 of the past 16 games played at Nationwide Arena since Jan. 25 (17,773 avg.).
