Boston Red Sox News: Fenway Park to Host Annual Boston College ALS Awareness Game Against the University of Miami on Sunday, April 27

Proceeds From the Game to Benefit the Peter Frates Foundation

 

BOSTON, MA –Fenway Park Events today announced the return of Boston College’s annual ALS Awareness Game to Fenway Park on Sunday, April 27 at 12 p.m. when the Eagles will face the University of Miami Hurricanes. The game has been played annually in honor of former Boston College baseball captain Pete Frates since his ALS diagnosis in 2012. This year marks the sixth time the game has been played at Fenway Park. Frates passed away in 2019 at the age of 34.

General admission tickets for the game are $15 and can be purchased at redsox.com/alsgame. Mastercard is the preferred payment of the Boston Red Sox. Proceeds will benefit the Peter Frates Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting ALS patients and their families with the cost of specialized home care required for patient stability as the disease progresses.

The game will be broadcasted on ESPNU.
