Débora Cristiane de Oliveira, known in soccer circles as simply, Debinha,  added another milestone to her storied NWSL career on Saturday night, netting her 50th regular-season goal in Kansas City’s 2-0 win over San Diego. The Brazilian international’s 16th-minute strike — a slick half-volley off a curled Izzy Rodriguez cross — not only opened the scoring but cemented her place as just the eighth player in league history to hit the 50-goal mark.

Now a member of the elite 50 goal and 25 assist club, which only has four other players — Megan Rapinoe (51/26), Alex Morgan (60/28), Jess McDonald (54/31), and Lynn Biyendolo (68/30) — Debinha continues to show why she’s one of the most exciting players in the league.

Since arriving in Kansas City in 2023 after having won two NWSL Championships and three NWSL Shields with the North Carolina Courage, Debinha has been both a creative catalyst and clinical finisher for the Current. After re-signing through 2026 this past offseason, she’s wasted no time demonstrating what she can do, having scored three goals in four games to help power the Current’s perfect 4-0-0 start. Her veteran leadership and championship pedigree continue to anchor a squad determined to go all the way after narrowly missing the title match last season.
