Blue Jackets dominate Ottawa Senators from start to finish in Game 77, winning 5-2

BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • Columbus (1-2-0) finished the season series against Ottawa (2-1-0) following tonight’s regulation win.  The teams won each of their home games in the series, including splitting the home-and-home set from Apr. 6-8.
  • The Jackets have recorded points in five-straight home contests against the Senators (3-0-2) and improved to 9-2-2 in the last 13 at Nationwide Arena against the club.
  • CBJ improved to 11-5-2 in the last 18 home games in 2024-25.  The team has recorded points in 19 of the past 25 home contests (15-6-4) as well as in 24 of the last 31 played at home (19-7-5).
  • The Blue Jackets reached the 50-point mark in a campaign on home ice for the fifth time in team history (57, 2016-17; 55, 2017-18; 53, 2008-09; 50, 2005-06).
  • The club has recorded 244 goals (not including SO goals) in 2024-25, the most through 77 games in a single season in franchise history, surpassing the 243 scored in 2021-22.
  • CBJ have scored in 149-of-the-229 periods played in regulation this season with 66 multi-goal frames after scoring twice in the first and third periods.  Columbus scored in all three periods for the 26th time in 2024-25 after doing so tonight.
  • The club scored first for the 40th time this season tonight.
  • Tonight’s attendance was a crowd of 15,188.
