Ohio State Women’s Basketball News: Cotie McMahon Named AP All-American Honorable Mention

McMahon earns the honor for a second-consecutive season as she averages 16.6 points per game.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Associated Press announced its All-American honorees for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday. Ohio State junior forward Cotie McMahon was named AP All-American Honorable Mention for the second-consecutive season.

This season, McMahon was named to the All-Big Ten First Team by both the league’s head coaches (unanimous selection) and media. She was also named a Cheryl Miller Award top 10 finalist (and preseason watch list), to the preseason watch list and midseason team for the Naismith Trophy, to the preseason watch list, midseason top 25 and late midseason top 20 lists for the Wooden Award, to the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale Player of the Year midseason top 50, All-Big Ten Preseason Team and to the Big Ten weekly honor roll (twice). This season, McMahon ranks ninth in the Big Ten with 16.6 points per game and has six 20-point games. She has recorded two double-doubles (15p/10r at Nebraska and 16p/11 at Rutgers) this season.
