Raiders continue Horizon League Tournament climb Tonight in Pittsburgh, Quarterfinals against Robert Morris, 8 PM

DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball team continues action in the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Championship on Thursday night, as the No. 8 Raiders travel to take on No. 1 Robert Morris in an 8 p.m. tipoff in metro Pittsburgh. Fans can follow the action several ways – watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.

Fans can tune into 101.5 HANK FM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry 101.5 HANK FM. Just search “101.5 HANK FM” on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.

LAST TIME OUT 
Four players had double-digit scoring nights, paced by Jack Doumbia’s 23-point, 12-rebound double-double, and Wright State opened postseason play with a 98-85 home victory over IU Indy on Tuesday. The Raiders used a 19-4 run to close the first half and took a lead into the locker room they never surrendered. Behind Doumbia, Brandon Noel had 17 points, Alex Huibregtse and Keaton Norrisboth had 16 and Michael Imariagbe had 12 points.

PASSING ‘EM OUT
Wright State passed out 27 assists in Tuesday’s HL first round win over IU Indy, a mark tied for the second-most helpers in a single game in the last 10 seasons, bettered only by a 30 assist game in November 2022 against Weber State. Prior to Tuesday, the last time Wright State passed out 27 assists in a game came last season on January 10, 2024, at Robert Morris.

THAT’S A FACT, JACK
Jack Doumbia had a final stat line of 23 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks on Tuesday, going 8-of-8 from the floor. He’s the only Division I player over the last 15 years with 20-plus points, 7-plus rebounds, 7-plus assists and 100% FG shooting in any game.

DOUBLE DOUMBIA
Jack Doumbia turned in 23 points and 12 rebounds on Tuesday against IU Indy, his fifth double-double of the season.  Doumbia has tallied 10-plus points in 18 of the last 23 games, including five games with 20-plus points. In addition, Doumbia has added multiple rebounds in 29 games – including six games with 10-plus boards.

(ROBERT) MORRIS TO COME
Wright State and RMU have met just 12 times, with Wright State taking eight of the 10 meetings as Horizon League foes. The first meeting came Jan. 24, 1977 inside the old Physical Education Building on the Wright State campus – an 80-76 Raider victory. The two sides split the regular season meetings with each winning on its own floor – a 75-72 home RMU win in January and a 66-64 Raider win in February.

COLONIAL ROAD
– Robert Morris is 23-8 overall, entering the postseason on a seven-game winning streak. RMU has won 13 of its last 14 games – the one loss came at Wright State on February 2.
– Four players average double digits scoring, led by Kam Woods at 14.6 points/game, with Alvaro Folgueiras averaging a just shy of a double-double with 14.3 points/game and 9.3 rebounds/game.

YOU NOEL IT’S COMING. . .
Brandon Noel has recorded 20-plus points 18 times this season and currently has 31 such games in his career. He has recorded double-digits scoring in 28 of 32 games with nine double-doubles this season. In addition to the double-doubles, Noel has five more games where he finished with nine boards. He’s currently just shy of a double-double average for the season with his 19.1 points/game and 7.8 rebounds/game marks.
