Up and Down Raiders open Horizon League Tourney action tonight 7 PM, Nutter Center

DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball team opens play in the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Championship on Tuesday night, as the No. 8 Raiders host No. 9 IU Indy in an 8 p.m. tipoff inside the Nutter Center. Fans can follow the action several ways – watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the television feed.

Fans can tune into 101.5 HANK FM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry 101.5 HANK FM. Just search “101.5 HANK FM” on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.

**Fans are encouraged to use the Wright State Raiders app as the primary method for managing their digital tickets, which are required for entry to all WSU basketball events. Tickets for the 2024-25 basketball seasons are now uploaded and accessible on all purchaser accounts. LAST TIME OUT 
Michel Imariagbe notched his first double-double as a Raider and was one of three Wright State players in double figures on Saturday as the Raiders closed the regular season with a 91-84 loss at IU Indianapolis. Imariagbe tallied a season-high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on the way to the double-double. Brandon Noel finished with a team-best 23 points, adding four rebounds and two assists, while Alex Huibregtse had 19 points on five three-pointers

DÉJÀ VU
Wright State and IU Indy meet in Tuesday’s first round of the Horizon League Tournament after just facing off in the regular season finale on Saturday. This marks the second straight season the Raiders have ended the regular season and immediately played the same team in their HL opener after pulling off the double dip with Northern Kentucky last March.

TOURNEY TIME
Wright State has seen itself fall on both ends of the spe trum over the last 10 postseasons in the Horizon League tournament – the Raiders have lost their first postseason game five times but have made the HL title game four times, with a pair of championship game wins and automatic trips to the NCAA tourney.

HOME COOKING
Wright State enters the postseason with a 10-4 mark at home inside the Nutter Center during the regular season, including six wins over Horizon League opponents.

A SERIES CALLED JAG(S)
Wright State and IU Indy (formerly IUPUI) have previously met 28 times entering Tuesday’s contest, with the Raiders leading the series 24-4 having won 18 of the last 20 matchups overall.

EYING IU INDY
– IU Indy is 10-21 overall entering the postseason, while the Jags were 4-11 on the road during the regular season and 0-2 in neutral site matchups.
– IU Indy has three players averaging double digits scoring, led by Paul Zilinskas (18.2 ppg). Jarvis Walker (15.7 ppg) and Sean Craig (11.9 ppg) are also averaging 10-plus points a night. Craig’s 7.7 rebounds per game leads the team.

AWARDS SEASON
Wright State earned a pair of Horizon League honors, the league office announced Monday, headlined by Brandon Noel’s second-straight second team recognition, while Solomon Callaghan was named to the all-freshman team and was also a finalist for the Horizon League Sportsmanship Award.

SARGENT RECOGNIZED
Head Coach Clint Sargent was one of 16 finalists named as finalists for the 2024-25 Joe B. Hall award, CollegeInsider.com announced on March 3. The award is presented annually to the top first-time head coach in division I college basketball.
