TUESDAY: Miami continues conference play by traveling to Buffalo on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. Entering this game, the RedHawks rank fifth nationally in three-point percentage (.391), ninth in effective field goal percentage (.571), 17th in threes per game (10.4), 25th in field goal percentage (.485), 30th in turnovers forced per game (14.66), 31st in scoring offense (81.0) and 49th in turnover margin (2.3). Miami also leads the MAC in six statistical categories, including steals per game (8.3).
RECENT ACTION: The Miami University men’s basketball team dropped to Ohio 75-66 Saturday afternoon. Antwone Woolfolk led the RedHawks in scoring with 16 points, while Peter Suder (15), Kam Craft (12) and Eian Elmer (10) also scored in double figures. Suder led all players with nine rebounds and recorded a team-high three steals. Miami outrebounded Ohio 40 to 32.
ABOUT BUFFALO: Buffalo is coming off a 4-27 (2-16 MAC) season in 2023-24. Head coach George Halcovage III is in his second season with the Bulls. Heading into the 2024-25 season, the MAC Men’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll picked the Bulls to finish 12th in the conference.
Buffalo is currently 9-20 (4-12 MAC), having won its last game at home against Toledo 87-74. The Bulls have two players who average double figures in scoring, which include Ryan Sabol (14.7) and Tyson Dunn (12.6). Dunn leads the team in assists (5.4) and steals per game (1.6). Noah Batchelor has recorded the most rebounds per game (6.0), and Anquan Boldin Jr. leads all players in blocks per contest (0.8).
THE SERIES WITH THE BULLS: Tuesday will mark the 58th time Miami and Buffalo have faced off. The RedHawks head into this game leading the series 30-27. Buffalo has the advantage at home in the series, 15-12. The last time Miami faced off with the Bulls, the Red and White secured a 93-79 win to open conference play in Oxford on Jan. 4, 2025.
