ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio men’s basketball team (15-13, 9-6 MAC) is back in Athens for the final two home games of the regular season starting on Saturday, March 1 when Ohio hosts Miami (21-7, 12-3 MAC). Tip-off is set for the 1 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center. The game is the first of a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader, with the women’s game to follow. The game can be seen on ESPN+ where Marty Bannister, Dave Cecutti and Sam Hyman will have the call.
The Bobcats’ matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Jason Toy begins his first season on the mic for the Bobcats, and will be joined by Ohio alum Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for two decades. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station net- work’s flagship.
STORYLINES
• This is the 216th all-time meeting between Ohio and Miami.
• Ohio leads the all-time series, 119-96.
• Ohio and Miami met one month ago on Feb. 1 in Oxford, with the RedHawks pulling out the 73-69 victory.
• Ohio and Miami met twice last season. First on Feb. 3 in the Convo, with Ohio winning, 78-69, before wrapping up the regular season in Oxford, with the Bobcats winning, 72-59.
• Ohio is 25-8 against Miami since 2009-10, while the Bob-cats are 8-2 against the RedHawks under Jeff Boals.

• At Kent State on Feb. 14, graduate student guard Shereef Mitchell was stellar, leading the Bobcats with 25 points, going 9-of-14 from the field and hitting a career-high four three pointers.
• Against Toledo on Jan. 28, AJ Brown and Jackson Paveletzke both scored 22 points, with Brown recording a career-high with eight rebounds.
• Junior guard Jackson Paveletzke scored a career-high 28 points at EMU on Jan. 21.
• Graduate student guard Shereef Mitchell, in his first start since Nov. 9, scored a career-high 27 points on Jan. 17 at Akron.
• AJ Clayton scored his 1,000the career point on Jan. 11 against NIU.
• Senior forward AJ Clayton had a 31-point performance on Jan. 11 against NIU. Clayton hit a career-high nine threes in the victory.
• The Bobcats currently rank 165th in the Feb. 38 NET Rankings.
SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami enters the matchup against Ohio with a 21-7 overall record and a 12-3 mark in MAC play after defeating Northern Illinois, 87-58 Tuesday night in Oxford.
Miami averages 81.6 points a game, while shooting .487 from the field, .395 from three and .731 from the line, while opponents are averaging 73.1 points per game, while shooting .450 from the field, .347 from three and .718 from the line.
Miami averages 33.5 rebounds, 16.1 assists, 8.3 steals and 3.5 blocks a game, while forcing 14.8 turnovers a game. Meanwhile, Miami opponents average 33.0 rebounds, 12.4 assists, 7.1 steals and 3.2 blocks a game, while forcing the RedHawks to turn the ball over an average of 12.1 times a contest.
Individually, Kam Craft averages 13.3 points and 2.8 rebounds a game, while shooting .439 from the field and .414 from three. Peter Suder adds 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, while shooting .507 from the field and .317 from three, while Eian Elmer adds 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and is shooting .486 from the field. Antwone Woolfolk adds 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and a .621 field goal percentage.

Ohio is currently 15-13 overall and 9-6 in MAC play after falling to Western Michigan on the road Tuesday night.
