COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/8 Ohio State women’s basketball team (20-2, 9-2 B1G) will face No. 7/7 USC (20-2, 10-1 B1G) on Saturday night for a 9 p.m. ET tip. The game will be broadcast on FOX and AM1460.

  • Ohio State and UCLA each scored a season-low in a 65-52 decision on Wednesday night that kept the Bruins undefeated. The Buckeye defense forced 23 UCLA turnovers and totaled 15 steals.
  • Jaloni Cambridge led the game with 21 points and six assists, also tying her career-high eight rebounds. Cotie McMahon finished with 14 points.
  • McMahon and Cambridge were among 50 players nationally to be named to USBWA’s Ann Meyers Drysdale Player of the Year midseason watch list on Monday. McMahon was also named a top 10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award this week.
  • Senior guard/forward Taylor Thierry was named to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year watch list on Wednesday.
  • No. 7 USC enters the game with a 20-2 overall record and is 10-1 in conference play. USC holds ranked wins this season over No. 20 Ole Miss, No. 4 UConn, No. 23 Michigan and No. 8 Maryland. The Trojans only Big Ten loss was at Iowa this past Sunday.
  • JuJu Watkins leads the Big Ten in scoring with 24.2 points per game, while Kiki Iriafen is fifth in the league (17.7 ppg). Rayah Marshall ranks sixth in the Big Ten with 8.9 rebounds per game.
  • Ohio State and USC are tied at four wins apiece in the all-time series and have each won two meetings in Los Angeles.
  • The most recent meeting between the two teams in Los Angeles dates back to Dec. 11, 2005 when Ohio State earned a 68-57 victory.
  • The two teams most recently played last season in the Naismith Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas, where USC earned an 83-74 win in the season opener. Each team had a huge quarter offensively with USC scoring 31 in the second and Ohio State scoring 30 in the third.
