ATHENS, Ohio –– The Ohio men’s basketball team (11-9, 5-3 MAC) are back on the road on Saturday, Feb. 1 when the Bobcats head to Oxford, Ohio to take on Miami (15-5, 7-1 MAC). Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. inside Millett Hall. The game can be seen on ESPN+.

The Bobcats’ matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Jason Toy begins his first season on the mic for the Bobcats, and will be joined by Ohio alum Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for two decades. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station net- work’s flagship.

STORYLINES
• This is the 215th all-time meeting between Ohio and Miami.
• Ohio leads the all-time series, 119-95.
• Ohio and Miami met twice last season. First on Feb. 3 in the Convo, with Ohio winning, 78-69, before wrapping up the regular season in Oxford, with the Bobcats winning, 72-59.
• Ohio is 25-7 against Miami since 2009-10, while the Bobcats are 8-1 against the RedHawks under Jeff Boals.
• Against Toledo on Jan. 28, AJ Brown and Jackson Paveletzke both scored 22 points, with Brown recording a career-high with eight rebounds.
• Ohio win over Kent State on Jan. 24 is the third-straight wins for the Bobcats over the Flashes. It is the first time since Jan. 26, 2013-Jan. 8, 2014 that Ohio has won three-straight over Kent State.
• Junior guard Jackson Paveletzke scored a career-high 28 points at EMU on Jan. 21.
• Graduate student guard Shereef Mitchell, in his first start since Nov. 9, scored a career-high 27 points on Jan. 17 at Akron.
• AJ Clayton scored his 1,000the career point on Jan. 11 against NIU.
• Senior forward AJ Clayton had a 31-point performance on Jan. 11 against NIU. Clayton hit a career-high nine threes in the victory.
• The Bobcats currently rank 173rd in the Jan. 31 NET Rankings.

SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami enters the matchup against Ohio with a 15-5 overall record and a 7-1 mark in MAC play after defeating Eastern Michigan on Tuesday at home.

Miami averages 82.8 points a game, while shooting .499 from the field, .397 from three and .738 from the line, while opponents are averaging 73.2 points per game, while shooting .459 from the field, .360 from three and .702 from the line.

Miami averages 33.4 rebounds, 15.9 assists, 8.6 steals and 3.5 blocks a game, while forcing 15.2 turnovers a game. Meanwhile, Miami opponents average 31.4 rebounds, 13.4 assists, 6.9 steals and 3.4 blocks a game, while forcing the RedHawks to turn the ball over an average of 12.1 times a contest.

Individually, Kam Craft averages 14.4 points and 3.1 rebounds a game, while shooting .452 from the field and .428 from three. Peter Suder adds 14.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while shooting .525 from the field and .328 from three, while Eian Elmer adds 11.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and is shooting .506 from the field. Antwone Woolfolk adds 8.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and a .638 field goal percentage.

SCOUTING OHIO
Ohio is currently 11-9 overall and 5-3 in MAC play after falling to Toledo, 86-83, on Tuesday in Athens.

Ohio is averaging 80.5 points per game, while shooting .472 from the field, .356 from three and .751 from the line, while opponents are averaging 75.6 points per game, while shooting .454 from the field, .386 from three and .666 from the line.

Ohio is averaging 34.2 rebounds, 14.8 assists, 3.6 blocks and 7.6 steals per game, while forcing 13.7 turnovers a contest. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 35.7 rebounds, 13.8 assists, 3.1 blocks and 6.9 steals per game, while forcing Ohio to turn the ball over 11.6 times a game.

Junior guard Jackson Paveletzke scored a career-high 28 points on Jan. 21 at Eastern Michigan. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists.

CAREER NIGHT FOR REEF
Graduate student Shereef Mitchell scored a career-high 27 points on Jan. 17 at Akron. Mitchell went 8-of-16 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line, while grabbing five rebounds. The career-high came in his first start since Nov. 9 against UNC Asheville.

Ohio men’s basketball is back in Athens on Tuesday, Feb. 4 when the Bobcats host Western Michigan. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+.
