Musketeers are shooting for a third-straight victory.
CINCINNATI — The Xavier University Musketeers, 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the No. 7 Marquette University Golden Eagles, 15-2 overall and 6-0 in the BIG EAST, on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis. XU won its second-straight game with a 69-63 victory over Villanova on Tuesday, while Marquette won its sixth-straight game with 85-83 overtime win at DePaul on Tuesday.
Xavier plays three of its next four games on the road to finish the January schedule beginning with No. 7 Marquette. XU plays St. John’s at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 22 and visits Creighton on Jan. 29. XU’s lone home game in that stretch is No. 14 UConn on Jan. 25.

• Xavier is second in the BIG EAST and 16th in the nation in free throw percentage at .786. XU has three players ranked in the top 10 in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage: Ryan Conwell (fifth at .816), Dayvion McKnight (sixth at .815) and Dailyn Swain (tied for eighth at .813).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in fastbreak points (seventh in the nation in at 17.2 ppg.) and is second in 3-point percentage (15th in the nation at .393) and free throw percentage (16th in the nation at .786). Xavier is third in the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio (40th in the nation at 1.47) and assists per game (34th in the nation at 16.9 apg.).
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell scored a collegiate career-high 34 points (28 in the second half) in the win over Villanova on Tuesday, while tying his collegiate high for 3-pointers with six and setting new collegiate highs for free throws made (12) and attempted (14). Conwell’s 34-point effort is the first 30-point game by a Musketeer since Desmond Claude’s 30 at Georgia in the 2024 NIT.
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell leads the team and is sixth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 17.1 ppg. He has hit at least one 3-pointer in all 18 games and at least two in 16 games, including six on Tuesday. He ranks second in the BIG EAST and 27th in the nation at 3.2 3-point field goals made per game. His total of 57 3-pointers made leads the BIG EAST and is 10th in the nation.
• Xavier graduate student Zach Freemantle posted his 24th career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds at DePaul on Jan. 11. Freemantle, who missed Xavier’s first three BIG EAST games due to a lower body injury, is second on the team in scoring (seventh in the BIG EAST at 16.9 ppg.) and leads the team in rebounding (fourth in the BIG EAST at 7.6 rpg.).
• Xavier graduate student Dayvion McKnight leads XU in assists at 4.8 apg. (sixth in the BIG EAST) and is second in the BIG EAST and 15th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.35. He is sixth in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage at .815.
• Xavier sophomore Dailyn Swain is sixth in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage at .561 and tied for eighth in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage at .813. He is tied for 11th in the BIG EAST in steals at 1.5 spg.
• Xavier graduate student Jerome Hunter, who had 10 points and six rebounds at DePaul on Jan. 11, has started six of XU’s BIG EAST games (only six starts of the season).
