BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets won for a season-high fifth-straight game and have now recorded points in 10 of their past 12 contests overall since Dec. 19 (9-2-1) following tonight’s shootout win over the Flyers.
  • The last time Columbus won five consecutive games was from Jan. 11-22, 2020 when the club had a six-game win streak.
  • CBJ have collected points in 14 of their last 16 home contests (11-2-3) following the shootout win.
  • Columbus won its league-high fourth shootout of the season, improving to 4-0 on the campaign.
  • The Jackets improved to 1-1-1 against the Flyers in the 2024-25 season series.  The club has also posted points in four of the last five contests of the series overall (3-1-1) and won four of the past six meetings at Nationwide Arena (4-2-0).
  • The club has recorded 148 goals (not including SO goals) in the first 44 games this season.  It’s the most goals scored through the opening 44 contests of a campaign in franchise history, surpassing the 143 scored in the 2016-17 season.

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES

  • Adam Fantilli (10-12-21, 44 GP) collected an assist tonight to stretch his career-high points streak to six games (3-4-7).  His streak is tied for the second-longest points streak by a Blue Jackets player age 20 years or younger (Jakub Voracek, 6 GP in 2009-10), trailing only Rick Nash (8 GP in 2003-04).
  • RW Kirill Marchenko (18-30-48, 44 GP) registered an assist for points in five-straight games (2-4-6) and has tallied 5-6-11 in his last nine games played.  He has 2-4-6 in nine career contests against the Flyers and 1-2-3 in this season’s series against the club.
  • Daniil Tarasov (4-6-1) stopped 24-of-26 shots to secure his first win with the Blue Jackets since Oct. 22 vs. Toronto.  After stopping both shots faced in the shootout, he improved to 2-1 for his NHL career and has stopped 10-of-12 shots faced (.833 SV%).
  • Zach Werenski (15-35-50, 43 GP) scored twice for his second multi-goal effort of the season (Nov. 21 vs. Tampa Bay) and has registered points in six of his last seven contests (4-7-11, 4 multi-point efforts).  He extended his franchise record home points streak to 17-straight games (12-22-34), becoming the seventh defenseman in NHL history to post a streak of that length*.  His 13th multi-point effort of the campaign gives him 50 points in 44 games this season, becoming the second-fastest Blue Jackets player to reach 50 points in a season, trailing only Artemi Panarin in 2018-19 (43 GP).  Werenski posted 31:28 TOI, marking the fifth game of over 30:00 TOI this season, and the second highest by the blueliner of the campaign (32:17 TOI on 11/23/24 vs. CAR).  He now has posted 8-9-16 in 24 career contests against the Flyers with goals in each home game against the club this season (3-0-3) as well as goals in four of the last five games (5-1-6) and 6-3-9 in his last nine outings overall.
