COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes head out on the road to one of the toughest places to play in the Big Ten as they will take on Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed on Peacock. Paul Burmeister and Stephen Bardo will call the action.

The game can also be heard on the Ohio State Radio Network from Learfield. Paul Keels and former Buckeye captain Ron Stokes are on the call.

  • This will be the 175th all-time meeting and the Buckeyes officially lead the series 91-77.
  • Wisconsin leads 49-31 in Madison, but the Buckeyes have claimed wins in two of their last five trips to the Kohl Center.
  • The recent series has been close. Over the last 12 meetings dating back to 2017, Wisconsin holds a 7-5 edge but just a four-point edge in the overall score 827-823.
  • Last year, Wisconsin won both regular season meetings. The Badgers used a surge at the end of the first half and the start of the second to build a lead and would go on to win 71-60 in Columbus on Jan. 10. In the second meeting, the Badgers built as much as a 17-point second half lead only to see the Buckeyes claw back to within five. But Wisconsin would pull away down the stretch for a 62-54 victory on Feb. 13 in Madison.
  • The Buckeyes are coming off a tough setback to No. 15 Oregon at home last Thursday evening. Ohio State led the majority of the game before Oregon got hot from long range down the stretch and would pull out a 73-71 victory. Bruce Thornton led the way for the Buckeyes with 20 points and three assists. Sean Stewart posted career-highs of 14 points and nine rebounds to go along with a pair of steals.
  • For the year, Bruce Thornton is averaging 17.1 points and 4.4 assists per game. Only three Buckeyes have averaged 17 or more points in a season over the last 12 seasons. Thornton has seven 20-point games this year and has led the team in scoring eight times.
  • Micah Parrish has shot it a bit better recently as he’s made seven three-pointers and has shot nearly 50 percent from the floor in the last three games. That might not seem like a lot of threes, but it is his second-best stretch of the year and nearly a third of his total threes this year.
  • Freshman John Mobley Jr. has made at least one three-pointer in all 16 games this season. He’s one of just Big Ten players to have made a three in every game they’ve played, joining Illinois’ Ben Humrichous who has also made one in all 16 of his games.
  • After losing three consecutive games at the start of December, Wisconsin has responded by winning its last five games. The Badgers are coming off an 80-59 victory last Friday night over visiting Minnesota. John Tonje leads five Badgers in double figures at 18.3 ppg.
