MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU (10-7, 2-4 HL) wraps up its homestand against Wright State (9-8, 3-3 HL) at the UPMC Events Center on January 12. Tipoff is 2 p.m.
RMU LATELY
Despite leading at halftime, RMU fell to Cleveland State 80-69 on January 9. The Colonials are 8-2 at home this season.
WRIGHT STATE LATELY
Wright State overcame a 13-point 1st half deficit in its 66-62 victory against Oakland on January 9. The Raiders have won two straight and are 2-5 on the road this season.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE HISTORY
RMU and Wright State first met in 1978 for a home-and-home matchup at the WSU Physical Education Building and John Jay Center, respectively – both victories for the Raiders. The series went on hiatus for the next 43 years as the teams met in 2021 in the Colonials’ first year in the Horizon League. WSU holds a 9-1 series advantage, 4-0 in Moon and 3-0 at the UPMC Events Center.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE LAST TIME OUT
Wright State scored the first 14 points of the game and never looked back in its 101-71 win over RMU on February 17, 2024. Alvaro Folgueiras had a then career-high 15 points along with eight rebounds.

Amarion Dickerson is currently second in the nation in blocks with 47 and eighth with 2.8 blocks per game. Folgueiras is ninth in the NCAA with 11.1 rebounds per game and third with 182 total rebounds. He is 15th with seven double-doubles this season.
UP NEXT
RMU hits the road for three straight contests beginning January 17 at Green Bay. They remain in Wisconsin to face Milwaukee on January 19 before heading to Youngstown State on January 22. The Colonials return to the UPMC Events Center for a two-game homestand beginning with Oakland on January 25 and IU Indy on January 30.
