#9 Ohio State and #25 Michigan will meet only once this season – in Ann Arbor, Tonight 7 PM

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9/9 Ohio State women’s basketball team (14-0, 3-0 B1G) travels to No. 25/RV Michigan (10-4, 1-2 B1G) on Wednesday evening for the teams’ lone meeting of the season. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460 with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.

  • The Buckeyes had five score in double figures in a 92-62 win against Northwestern on Sunday in Columbus. Jaloni Cambridge led the game with 20 points and was joined in double figures by Cotie McMahon (16), Ava Watson (15), Chance Gray (14) and Elsa Lemmilä (11). This was J. Cambridge’s second 20-point game of the season as she shot 8-of-12 (.667) from the floor, while Watson was 5-of-9 from long range.
  • Ohio State forced 29 Northwestern turnovers and totaled 16 steals in the game. The Buckeyes built a 53-34 lead at halftime and followed that by allowing just nine points to the Wildcats in the third quarter.
  • Michigan enters the game with a 10-4 overall record and is 1-2 in conference play. The Wolverines are a perfect 7-0 at home this season.
  • The Wolverines beat Northwestern by a 60-54 margin on Dec. 8 in Ann Arbor and already took their trip out west, falling to No. 4 USC by a 78-58 mark and No. 1 UCLA by an 86-70 mark. Michigan has also played two ranked non-conference opponents in then No. 1 South Carolina and No. 10 Oklahoma.
  • Michigan has four players averaging double figures – Syla Swords (16.4), Olivia Olson (15.4), Jordan Hobbs (13.4) and Mila Holloway (10.2). Three of the four (excluding Hobbs) are freshmen. Swords also leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game.
  • Ohio State leads 60-17 in the all-time series against Michigan and has the 25-11 advantage when facing the Wolverines in Ann Arbor.
  • The Buckeyes fell by a 69-60 margin in the most recent meeting in Ann Arbor, taking place on Dec. 30, 2023, but won the most recent meeting overall in a 67-51 decision on Feb. 28, 2024 in Columbus.
