COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 10/9 Ohio State women’s basketball team (12-0, 1-0 B1G) heads to Piscataway to face Rutgers (8-4, 0-1 B1G) on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460.

  • Ohio State wrapped up the non-conference schedule with an 84-59 win against Stanford in the Invisalign Bay Area Women’s Classic on Friday, Dec. 20 in San Francisco.
  • The Buckeyes had a balanced offense against the Cardinal with six players in double figures – McMahon (16), Greene (season-high 15), Gray (14), Petty (14), Thierry (12) and Watson (11). Petty and Thierry led OSU with nine rebounds apiece.
  • Ohio State committed its lowest turnover total of the season (5) while forcing 19 Stanford turnovers. The Buckeye defense held the Cardinal to just 2-of-16 (.125) from long range despite Stanford being second in the nation in three-point percentage entering the game.
  • Gray was named to the Big Ten weekly honor roll on Monday.
  • Rutgers enters the game at 8-4 overall and 0-1 in the Big Ten.
  • The Scarlet Knights hold wins this season over Manhattan, Cornell, NJIT, Iona, Georgia Southern, FDU, Wagner and Lafayette. Rutgers lost to Virginia Tech, Princeton, Marquette and Wisconsin.
  • Kiyomi McMiller and Destiny Adams lead the Rutgers offense with 20.9 and 17.3 points per game, respectively. Adams is nearly averaging a double-double as she leads the team with 9.6 rebounds per game.
  • Ohio State leads 16-7 in the all-time series against Rutgers and has the 6-4 advantage when facing the Scarlet Knights in Piscataway. The Buckeyes won the lone meeting with Rutgers last season by a 90-55 margin in Columbus on Jan. 11, 2024.
  • In the game last season, OSU had 10 players score points and four score in double figures, including returners Madison Greene (season-high 16) and Cotie McMahon (11). Greene made a career-high four triples in that game, shooting 4-of-6 (.667) from behind the arc.
