ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio men’s basketball team (3-5) is back in action on Saturday, Dec. 4 when they host Morehead State (3-5). Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. The game can be seen on ESPN+ where Sam Hyman, Dave Cecutti and Taniah Smith will have the call.
The Bobcats’ matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Jason Toy begins his first season on the mic for the Bobcats. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station network’s flagship.

• This is the 26th all-time meeting between Ohio and Morehead State.
• Ohio leads the all-time series, 18-7.
• The two teams last met on Dec. 21, 2019 in Athens, with the Bobcats winning, 82-76.

SCOUTING MOREHEAD STATE
Morehead State enters the matchup with the Bobcats with a 3-5 record after falling on the road to Marshall, 80-77, Wednesday night in Huntington.
Morehead State averages 66.5 points a game, while shooting .421 from the field, .286 from three and .629 from the line, while opponents are averaging 73.1 points per game, while shooting .439 from the field, .304 from three and .756 from the line.
Morehead State averages 36.5 rebounds, 11.1 assists, 5.6 steals and 2.3 blocks a game, while forcing 9.9 turnovers a game. Meanwhile, Morehead State opponents average 34.0 rebounds, 13.5 assists, 6.6 steals and 3.5 blocks a game, while forcing Morehead State to turn the ball over an average of 13.0 times a contest.
Individually, Kenny White, Jr. leads Morehead State with 15.9 points and 6.0 rebounds a game, while shooting .505 from the field, .333 from three and 6.15 from the line. BOALS GETS 100 AT OU
Head coach Jeff Boals earned his 100th win at Ohio on Nov. 22 against Portland.
Boals is the seventh Ohio head coach to make that mark and is seven wins away from passing Danny Nee for the sixth-most wins at Ohio.
A PERFORMANCE FOR THE AGES
Senior forward AJ Clayton put on a career performance on Friday, Nov. 22 against Portland. Clayton scored a career-high 34 points, going 13-of-26 from eh field, 6-of-14 from three and grabbed a career-high tying 12 rebounds in the 85-73 victory.
ASSIST MACHINE
At the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invite, Jackson Paveletzke recorded 23 assists in three game, recording a new MBI assists record, surpassing the 22 set by Villanova’s Collin Gillespie in 2019.
Paveletzke has recorded two-straight double doubles with points and assists. The last Bobcat to record back-to-back double doubles with points and assists was Jason Preston (1/19/21 & 1/23/21).
