Miami RedHawks Welcomes Air Force Falcons to Venerable Millett Hall Tonight, 7 PM

MONDAY: Miami returns home to host Air Force on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. The RedHawks are off to their best start since the 2021-22 season, when the team started 5-0.

ABOUT AIR FORCE: Air Force is coming off of a 9-22 (2-16 Mountain West) season in 2023-24. Head coach Joe Scott is in his ninth season (second stint) with the Falcons. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Air Force was selected to finish 11th overall in the Mountain West Preseason Poll.

Air Force is currently 2-5, as the team most recently went 1-2 at the Cal Classic. The Falcons will turn their attention to a Saturday night matchup with the Wright State Raiders before heading to Oxford. Ethan Taylor leads the team in points per game (19.0), rebounds per game (7.6), assists per game (4.3) and steals per game (1.6). Wesley Celichowski has the most blocks per game (1.0).

THE SERIES WITH THE FALCONS: Monday will mark the first time that Miami and Air Force have faced off.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks head west to take on the Indiana Hoosiers Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

FORT MYERS TIP-OFF: With wins over Siena (70-58) and Mercer (75-72), the Red and White won the Fort Myers Tip-Off Palms Division Championship. Peter Suder was named the Palms Division MVP, averaging 17.0 points (60% from the field), five rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals over the two days. Suder was joined on the All-Tournament team by Eian Elmer, who averaged 15 points (62.5% from the field), four rebounds, 2.5 steals, 0.5 assists and 0.5 blocks.

ROAD TO 100 WINS: Head coach Travis Steele recorded his 100th career win this past Monday, as the RedHawks rolled past Siena 70-58. Heading into this Monday’s competition, Steele holds 101 total wins as a head coach.

MAC LEADERS: So far this season, Miami ranks among conference leaders in multiple statistical categories:

  • Kam Craft ranks sixth in the MAC (158th in nation) with 16.5 points per game and has knocked down 3.33 threes per game (second in MAC/35th in country)
    Mekhi Cooper stands at sixth in the conference with 1.83 steals per game
    Eian Elmer is 11th in the MAC for his scoring (14.8), third in three-point field goal percentage (.469), third in steals per game (2.17) and 14th in blocked shots per game (0.80)
    Peter Suder is 14th overall in the MAC for his scoring each game (13.3) and finds himself at ninth in assists per game (3.2)
    Antwone Woolfolk is third overall in the MAC with a .600 field goal percentage and he is also third in the conference for his offensive rebounding each game (2.83)
