Ross Bjork is the new athletic director at Ohio State.

He came aboard earlier this year on March 1, to learn the Ohio State way of doing things and a transition period from outgoing athletic director, Gene Smith.

He took over the job on July 1 fulltime. He knew there would be key moments where he would have to make decisions.

One has come up already as the football Buckeyes lost this past Saturday to arch-rival Michigan for the fourth year in a row. Buckeye Nation says Ryan Day should be fired despite his 66-10 record, clean program and recruiting top talent.

Bjork is looking far past his 1-4 record in “The Game” as he told the Columbus Dispatch so in an interview on Sunday.

“Our full focus right now is on the College Football Playoff and making a strong run,” Bjork told the Dispatch. “We have a ton to play for. We have a great team made up of talented players and great young men. Coach Day does a great job leading our program. He’s our coach.”
