BUIES CREEK – The Fighting Camels are set to head to Columbus, Ohio for a matchup with the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday night inside the Schottenstein Center. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Series History
Campbell and Ohio State have met just once, almost ten years ago on Nov. 26, 2014. The Camels fell 91-64 as D’Angelo Russell scored a game-high 22 for OSU. Campbell was led that night by Andrew Ryan’s 17 points.

The Camels are 1-3 against the current Big10 members, with the one win coming over Iowa in 2011.

Last Time Out
Campbell earned an 88-68 road win over Navy last Sunday. The win was Campbell’s first 20-point non-conference road win since 1995. Jasin Sinani led the way with 24 points while Terren Frank chipped in 17.

Campbell led by just five at the half before the offense found its rhythm in the second to outscore the Midshipmen 48-33 after the break. Campbell forced 15 turnovers and outscored Navy 20-6 off turnovers. CU remained excellent at the foul line going 19-22 in the game.

Success at the Stripe
Campbell currently sits at fourth nationally in team free throw percentage (84%). Jasin Sinani leads the charge at 22-26. Bragi Gudmundsson is a perfect 13-13 and Caleb Zurliene is 10-11 on the season. The Camels have only two more FT attempts than its opponents this season, but have cashed in those opportunities for 27 more makes.

Scouting the Buckeyes
Ohio State enters the game at 3-1 following a 80-30 win over Evansville Tuesday night. OSU opened the season with a win over No. 19 Texas in Las Vegas, and the lone loss was on the road at No. 23 Texas A&M.

The Buckeyes are holding opponents to shooting .295 from the floor this season, the best mark in the nation, and have not allowed a team to shoot over .390. OSU held Evansville to just 19% shooting on Tuesday night.

The Buckeyes received 13 votes in this week’s AP Poll, falling out of the top 25 from being No. 21 the week prior.

OSU is coached by Jake Diebler in his first season at the helm.

Looking Ahead
Campbell will travel west to Evansville to face the Aces Sunday at 4 p.m. That one will be broadcast on ESPN+.
