COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 2 Ohio State (9-1, 6-1) rattled off 31-consecuvie points to knock off Northwestern (4-6, 2-5) Saturday 31-7 at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois.
The Wildcats scored first before the Buckeyes held the Wildcats scoreless the rest of the way.
Will Howard completed 15-of-24 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns. Carnell Tate, playing in his hometown of Chicago, caught four passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Jeremiah Smith added four catches for 100 yards. On the ground, Quinshon Judkins carried 15 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns. TreVeyon Henderson gained 74 yards on 11 carries.
Defensively, Arvell Reece and Jack Sawyer led the way, each with seven tackles. Ohio State returns the Columbus for the final two games of the regular season.
The Buckeyes take on Indiana at noon next Saturday before the season finale against Michigan at noon Nov. 30 at Ohio Stadium.
