Defensive Notes
• The Bearcats halted the Mountaineers on fourth down on WVU’s first offensive drive
of the game. Opponents are now just 5-for-17 on fourth downs attempts against UC
this season. Coming into the game, Cincinnati ranked sixth in the nation in fourth
down defense.
• Redshirt senior linebacker Jared Bartlett finished with seven tackles and a sack and
now has 6.5 sacks on the season. He entered the game tied for second in the Big 12
in sacks.
• Redshirt junior linebacker Jake Golday also had seven stops to maintain the team
lead at 52.
• Redshirt senior safety Logan Wilson’s end-zone interception late in the third quarter
was his first as a Bearcat in fourth of his career.
• UC’s defense had its second-best showing in total yards (248) and rush yards (92)
this year.
