Miami RedHawks News: Men’s Basketball Announces Five Additions for 2025-26

OXFORD, Ohio – Head men’s basketball coach Travis Steele has announced the addition of five signees for the 2025-26 season. Justin Kirby, Trey Perry, Tyler Robbins, Leshawn Stowers and Kyle Waltz are set to join the RedHawks.

Justin Kirby
Justin Kirby, 6-4, SG, Fishers, Ind. (Fishers)
High School:

  • Currently attends Fishers High School
  • Coached by Garret Winegar
  • Averaged 5.8 points, 2.1 rebounds,  1.1 assists and 1.1 steals as a junior
  • 4A state champion in the 2023-24 season

 

Trey Perry

Trey Perry, 6-2, PG, Liberty Township, Ohio (Lakota East)
High School:

  • Currently attends Lakota East High School
  • Coached by Clint Adkins
  • Three-time team captain
  • First-Team All-Conference, First-Team District 15 and Third-Team All-State as a junior
  • 1,000 point scorer

 

Tyler Robbins

Tyler Robbins, 6-10, PF, Pittsburgh, Pa. (Upper St. Clair)
High School:

  • Currently attends Upper St. Clair High School
  • Coached by Danny Holzer
  • Two-time team captain
  • Averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks as a junior
  • Earned WPIAL Player of the Year in his junior season
  • Holds the record for most blocks in school history

 

Leshawn Stowers

Leshawn Stowers, 6-5, PG/SG, Peoria, Ill. (Peoria Central)
High School:

  • Currently attends Peoria Central High School
  • Coached by Daniel Ruffin
  • Team captain as a junior
  • First-team All-Conference in his junior season

 

Kyle Waltz

Kyle Waltz, 6-7, SF, Elmhurst, Ill. (York)
High School:

  • Currently attends Spire Academy (post grad year)
  • Graduated from York High School in 2024
  • Coached by Mike Dunn at York
  • Named team captain in his senior season
  • Totaled an average of 13 points, six rebounds and two assists in his senior season
  • Named All-Conference, Academic All-Conference and to the Daily Herald All-Area Team in the 2023-24 season
  • Averaged 10 points, three rebounds and one steal as a junior
  • Earned Academic All-Conference in his junior season
