COLUMBUS, Ohio. – Five Buckeyes scored in double figures as No. 21 Ohio State rolled past Youngstown State 81-47 on Monday evening inside Value City Arena.

The Buckeyes are now 2-0 on the young season and will head to No. 23 Texas A&M on Friday.

Sophomore Aaron Bradshaw and freshman John Mobley Jr. each led the way with 16 points. Bruce Thornton added 12 points, Meechie Johnson Jr. had 11 points and Sean Stewart finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Buckeyes shot 55.4 percent for the game and 45.5 percent from long range. On the other end, they forced YSU into a number of tough shots and the Penguins shot just 23.7 percent for the game.

Mobley Jr. continued his hot start as he made his first three three-pointers and finished 3-of-4 overall and had three assists. Bradshaw’s 16 points were one-off his career-high and he also pulled-down a game-high eight rebounds to go along with a pair of blocks.

An early 12-0 run led to a quick 10-point lead for the Buckeyes. Back-to-back threes from Mobley Jr. and Thornton gave the Buckeyes a 13-point edge and they would lead 37-22 at the break.

Another 12-2 run midway through the second half pushed the lead over 30 points and the night was capped by freshman Brayen Nash knocking down a three-pointer in the final minute, much to the delight of his teammates.
