- Maggie Donnellan Caha ’14 – Women’s Soccer
The six Hall of Fame inductees were recognized at a breakfast ceremony as part of Homecoming Weekend back on Saturday, October 5th.
D. Jedd Stucky walked on to the men’s soccer team to play goalie where he earned the starting role while helping the program to their first winning season in program history. On the baseball diamond – Stucky’s primary sport – Stucky’s career was highlighted by a 1981 Academic All-American accolade. He was also voted his team’s MVP during their at the time record-breaking 20-win season. He was named a co-captain in both soccer and baseball during his time as a student-athlete. Since graduating from Capital, Stucky has given back to the university as he has remained an active participant in the Varsity C program while also contributing financially to The Capital Center construction project as well as toward the upkeep of Clowson Field for today’s student-athletes. He will also begin the 2025 baseball season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Comets.
Stucky currently resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife of 39 years Cindy. He is retired from U.S. Bank where he worked for 32 years. He would like to list his sons Scott (Kelli) and Dan (Katie) and his two grandchildren Chase and Libbi for their support.
Sean Kelly enters the hall of fame after an accomplished career as a defensive back for the Purple and White football program. A 1988 All-American in his senior season, Kelly was an integral member of the 1987 OAC Championship team. That team remains the only in program history to hoist the OAC trophy at season’s end. During that All-American season, Kelly also earned an All-OAC first team nod and was named the OAC Lee Tressel Award winner for his efforts on the field. Kelly’s abilities defensively led him to 13 career interceptions – a mark that continues to sit tied for ninth all-time in program history. Kelly also earned varsity letters in baseball and golf while at Capital.
Sean currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. He works as a Manufacturer’s Representative within the golf industry. He would like to list his wife Leanne, daughters Kaelin and Katherine, son Conor and those who traveled a great distance to support him – Brian Kelly, Mike Kelly and John Vanden Brul.
Jacob Butler has etched his name in the history books of Capital baseball over time as he is one of just two players to have been named the OAC Player of the Year – an honor he won during his senior year in 2007. Butler was a three-time All-OAC player, being named first team in 2007, honorable mention in 2006 and second team in 2005. In addition to conference recognition, Butler also earned Rawlings/ABCA All-Mideast Region honors during his senior year. Among his awards, Butler’s name still remains on the program record boards as his 59 hits in 2007 are the sixth most in a single season at Capital. His 55 hits in 2005 mark the eighth most. In terms of single-season batting average, Butler holds the fifth and sixth best marks in program history, hitting .440 in 2005 and .434 in 2007. His 75 total bases in 2007 also ranks him ninth all-time in that category.
Kwesi Seabrook left her name scattered throughout the record books of Capital University track and field during her time as a student-athlete, and she remains one of the most prolific sprinters in program history. A four-time NCAA National Championship qualifier, Seabrook earned two All-American honors in her career – a seventh place finish in the outdoor 400-meter dash in 2011 and third place in the outdoor 4×100-meter relay in 2009. Seabrook was named the OAC Most Outstanding Sprint Athlete on two occasions in 2010 and 2011. To this day, Seabrook continues to hold the school record in the outdoor 400-meter dash (55.89 seconds). Additionally, she sits second all-time in the indoor 400-meter dash (57.86 seconds) and third all-time in the indoor 200-meter dash (26.36 seconds). Additionally, Seabrook was a part of 13 relay teams on the program top-10 lists.
Kwesi currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband Nathan and their son. She loves to travel and works as an Attorney.
Spencer Niekamp proved himself to be one of the most prolific basketball players of his time across the country, culminating a standout career with a 2013 All-American and OAC Player of the Year honor. In his career, Niekamp scored 1,288 points – a mark that sits 13th all-time at Capital. His perfect 11-for-11 performance shooting the ball vs. JCU remains the single-game record for field goal percentage. In addition to his All-American status, Niekamp earned two All-OAC first team honors, four All-Region accolades, and was twice named Academic All-OAC. His career culminated with a selection to play in the 2013 Reese’s Division III All-Star Game. Niekamp helped lead Capital to the 2012 OAC Tournament Championship as well as to the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
Spencer currently resides in Hilliard, Ohio, working in sales for Bowden Fence. He is married to Taylor and has a son Cameron and a daughter Leona.
Maggie Donnellan Caha established herself as one of the greatest goalkeepers to touch the field for not only Capital, but the OAC as a whole during her career in Purple and White. Donnellan’s career was highlighted as she helped lead her team to the 2013 NCAA Semifinals – the program’s furthest advancement in postseason play. That same season, Donnellan was also named an All-American, All-Region and a Scholar All-American. The three-time OAC Goalkeeper of the Year and four-time All-OAC goalie, Donnellan was also a 2012 All-Region selection as well as a 2013 Academic All-OAC selection. Her outstanding career as a member of the Capital women’s soccer team culminated with her winning the illustrious OAC Clyde Lamb Award in 2014. In the record books at Capital, Donnellan holds the career record for goalkeeper minutes (7,153:42) and is second all-time in goals against average (0.92).
Maggie currently resides in Mason, Ohio with her spouse Brian Caha. She works as a teacher within the Norwood City Schools System.
