CLEVELAND – The Ohio football program’s graduate student quarterback earned Mid-American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week accolades for his performance against the Akron Zips. He shares the title with Bowling Green’s junior tight end, Harold Fannin Jr.
Navarro had a career day against the Zips, leading the Bobcats to a 30-10 Homecoming victory to open MAC play. The quarterback set career highs in single-game yards (331) as well as rushing yards (113), leading the team on the ground with 13 carries and a touchdown. Notably, Navarro tied his single-game record for passing yards (204) as well. He finished the game with three total touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing).
The Bobcats will continue MAC play on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. Kick time and television platform will be announced at a later date.
