- With its 49-14 victory, Ohio State improves to 3-0 on the season and has won 10 consecutive games at Ohio Stadium.
- Head coach Ryan Day is now 59-8 at Ohio State, with a home record of 34-2 and a 20-5 mark vs. non-conference opponents. Throughout his career, he has coached 41 games when the Buckeyes have scored 40 or more points.
- Will Howard found Emeka Egbuka for a 68-yard touchdown on the Buckeyes’ second offensive play of the game. For Egbuka, it was his third reception of 68 yards or more, previously hauling in a 69-yard and a 85-yard reception.
- Egbuka climbed up multiple charts in the record board including:
- 21st on the all-time career touchdown receptions list with 15. He is tied with Corey Brown, Parris Campbell and Ted Ginn Jr.
- 12th on the career pass receptions list with 138. He surpasses Ted Ginn Jr., who had 135 catches.
- 12th on the career receiving yards list, where he slides behind Garrett Wilson with 2,123 yards. Wilson had 2,213 career receiving yards.
- Quinshon Judkins ripped off an 86-yard touchdown run, which was the third-longest rushing play in Ohio State history. The run was tied with J.T. Barrett’s run from 2014 and only surpassed by an 88-yard run by Morris Bradshaw in 1971 and an 87-yard run by Eddie George in 1995.
- Judkins racked up his 15th career 100-yard rushing game and his second of the year.
- Judkins now has 3,061 yards in his NCAA career, joining a list of five active players to accumulate 3,000 yards or more.
- Judkins is now tied for first in most career rushing touchdowns among active NCAA players with 36.
- Judkins notched his 12th career multi-rushing touchdown game and his second with the Buckeyes.
- TreVeyon Henderson scored a pair of touchdowns and gained 76 yards on six carries. It was the 13th multi-rushing touchdown performance of his career.
- Henderson moves into seventh in career touchdowns scored, where he is tied with Carlos Hyde at 41. Two more touchdowns would place him fifth all-time, matching J.T. Barrett and J.K. Dobbins at 43.
- Henderson is also now tied for first in rushing touchdowns among active NCAA players.
- Jeremiah Smith broke away with a 53-yard touchdown reception, pushing him up the receiving touchdowns by a true freshman list at Ohio State. He now sits fourth all-time, tied with Ten Ginn Jr. with four touchdowns.
- Smith finished the day with three catches for 70 yards. He now has 14 catches for 281 yards and three touchdowns this year.
- With a 21-yard punt return, Brandon Innis has collected 87 yards on punt returns this year. In 2023, the Buckeyes had 70 punt return yards total.
- Junior defensive tackle Hero Kanu made his first career start for the Buckeyes.
- Linebacker Sonny Styles had a career-high tying seven tackles.
