AKRON, Ohio – Akron Football has released its entire promotional schedule for the upcoming season, highlighted by 2024 Homecoming game against Bowling Green on Oct. 5.
• Sept. 14 vs. Colgate – Home Opener, Band Day, High School Day, Extra Yard for Teachers and Faculty & Staff Appreciation.
• Oct. 5 vs. Bowling Green – Homecoming, Family Weekend & Varsity “A” Athletics Hall of Fame.
• Oct. 26 vs. Eastern Michigan – Youth Sports Day & Health Care Workers Appreciation.
• Nov. 2 vs. Buffalo – Senior Day & Salute to Service
• Nov. 26 vs. Toledo – Group Bounce Back Day
The Zips’ Home Opener of the 2024 season is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 against Colgate. All local area high school band members are invited to join the Zips Marching Band and experience a gameday at InfoCision Stadium. For more information contact Galen Karriker gsk1@uakron.edu.
All local area high school students are invited to join us for gameday as well, with more information to follow on ticket specials for all enrolled students. Zips Athletics would like to also show our appreciation for all local area educators as we have joined the College Football Playoff Committee’s national effort – Extra Yard for Teachers.
Fans will be able to nominate local educators leading into the game, for a chance to win gift cards earmarked for classroom supplies, courtesy of the College Football Playoff Committee. University of Akron Faculty & Staff are encouraged to join us for the Home Opener as well, with ticket specials available closer to kickoff.
The Zips conclude their home schedule Friday, Nov. 26 when they host Toledo for Group Bounce Back Day – all groups that join us for a Zips Football game will be able to take advantage of a special ticket offer for our season finale.
In between Akron’s Home Opener and Group Bounce Back games, the Zips will welcome Akron Alumni, families & our Varsity “A” Athletics Hall of Fame Honorees to InfoCision Stadium on Oct. 5 for Homecoming & Fall Family Weekend.
On Oct. 26, the Zips will let the kids take center stage for Youth Sports Day when Akron hosts Eastern Michigan and will also show our appreciation for Health Care Workers. We look forward to seeing youth sports members and health care professionals at InfoCision Stadium.
Akron Athletics has partnered with Vet Tix for Salute to Service on Nov. 2 – which special discounted tickets will be available for service men and women along with local first responders and their families. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early this day, as we will honor our graduating senior class pregame.
Group experiences for the 2024 season are also available! Individual and corporate groups can plan a memorable experience at an Akron Football home game this fall by visiting our Tickets Page here. Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available starting today for a minimum purchase of 10 tickets, and fan experiences are available on a first come, first served basis to any home football game during the 2024 season.
Season tickets for the 2024 Akron Football season are also still available starting as low as $75. Season ticket packages will feature all five home games and provide the most cost-effective way for our fans to attend games at InfoCision Stadium.
