TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS NEWS: SIGN JOHNSON, PLACE DZANSI ON INJURED RESERVE

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed offensive lineman Ryan Johnson.

Johnson (6-2, 306) originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the New England Patriots on May 13, 2024, before being released on June 17, 2024. Johnson played collegiately at Duquesne University (2019-20) and Youngstown State University (2021-23), where he appeared in 32 career contests. In his final collegiate season in 2023, he started 10 games for the Penguins and helped running back Jaleel McLaughlin claim MVFC Offensive Player of the Year honors with an average of 144.4 rushing yards per game. He will wear No. 65 for Tampa Bay.

In addition, the Buccaneers have placed offensive lineman Silas Dzansi (JAN-zee) on Injured Reserve.
