ELLECTRICITY: SS Elly De La Cruz leads the majors with 45 stolen bases.

• Is on pace to steal 80 bases, which would be the most by a Major Leaguer
since StL’s Vince Coleman (81) and NYY’s Rickey Henderson (93)
each led their respective leagues in 1988.

• His 45 steals are the most by a Red before the All-Star break.

• Is aiming to become the second Red since 1900 to lead the majors in
stolen bases (Bobby Tolan, 57sb in 1970) courtesy Elias.

• Is just the second player since 1900 with at least 15 HR and 45 SB in
his team’s first 91 games of a season (NYY’s Rickey Henderson 1986).

• 6/6 marked the 1-year anniversary of his Major League debut…entered
that night’s game with 67 career steals and 57 career extra-base hits…
no other player since 1900 collected as many as 65 steals and 50 XBH
within 1 year of his first game in the majors courtesy Elias.

• Is the only Red since 1900 with at least 35 steals in each of his first 2
Major League seasons and the first to do it since LAA’s Chad Curtis
(1992-1993) courtesy Elias
